Media Bulletin

For Immediate Release

The Brockport Police Department reports 6 Home Invasion Robberies since the fall of 2015.

The most recent Home Invasion Robbery occurred last evening at a Multi dwelling rental property.  Two armed suspects that were described as male – black and were armed with handguns with masks.  They entered the residence and encountered one of the residents.  The resident was ordered to the lay face down and the suspects demanded drugs. Several items were stolen and the suspects left on foot.

Although I cannot speak of specifics of the crimes, as they are active investigations, I can inform you that these locations were not single family homes and all of the crimes involved drugs in one form or another.  These crimes are more difficult to solve because some of them involve uncooperative victims due to the nature of the crime.

Of particular note, in one of the crimes the suspects entered the wrong apartment and again were armed and demanding drugs.

Although the Brockport Police Department has several leads we are asking for the community’s help if they have any information relevant to these crimes.

Any questions may be directed to Lt. Mark Cuzzupoli at (585) 637-1020 ext.41 or through 911.

Lt. Mark Cuzzupoli 4-22-16
