September 8th, 2014:

Traffic Accident: Police investigated a traffic accident on Market Street.

September 9th, 2014:

Lose Animal: Police assisted a resident with a loose animal on Clinton Street.

September 10th, 2014:   

Dangerous Condition: Police assisted the fire department with a wire down call on Erie Street.

September 11th, 2014:   

Arrest: Police arrested Charles E. Cooper, 31 years old, of Lodi NY on charges of Second and Third Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operator, both Misdemeanors, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Cooper is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

September 12th, 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Thomas J. Smith, 26 years old, of LeRoy on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Smith is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

Property Damage: A Main Street business reports someone damaged their parking lot flood lamp.

September 13th, 2014:

Property Damage: A Utica Street resident reports someone damaged their rear vehicle window.

Arrest: Police arrested Timothy J. Adams, 28 years old, of Medina on charges of Second Degree Obstructing Governmental Administration, Resisting Arrest (both Misdemeanors) as well as Disorderly Conduct and Second Degree Harassment (against a Police Officer). Adams is due to appear in Sweden Town Court. 

September 14th, 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Chad S. Cummings, 23 years old of Ontario, Canada on charges of Third Degree Assault, following a fight. Cummings is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

Trespass: Police responded to investigate a Criminal Trespass and Criminal Mischief report at a College Street residence.

September 15th, 2014 through September 21st, 2014

September 15th, 2014:

Theft: A Main Street resident reports their bicycle was stolen from their front porch.

Theft: A second Main Street resident reports their bicycle was stolen from their front porch.

Theft: A Main Street business reports the theft of a flower pot from outside their storefront.

Arrest: Police arrested Jenny M. Grattan, 34 years old, of Brockport on charges of Felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Grattan is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

September 16th, 2014:   

Fire Job: Police assisted the Brockport Fire Department with a vehicle leaking coolant at a West Avenue address.

September 17th, 2014:   

Property Damage: A Main Street resident reports someone damaged a wooden picnic table with writing.

September 18th, 2014:   

Suspicious Persons: Police investigated a group of teens that were seen throwing rocks at traffic from a railroad bridge.

September 19th, 2014:

Theft: A Evelyn Drive resident reports the theft of an Apple IPad.

Property Damage: A Main Street resident reports a known suspect damaged their glass window. The suspect did offer restitution and the complainant did not pursue charges.

Arrest: Police arrested Jessy J. Black, 21 years old, of Brockport on charges of Second and Third Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, both Misdemeanors, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Black is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

September 20th, 2014:   

Arrest: Police arrested Jacob R. Zombotti, 27 years old, on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor. Zombotti is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

September 21st, 2014:

Property Damage: A Utica Street resident reports someone pulled various perennials out of their front flower garden.

Property Damage: A Main Street resident reports someone damaged their front windshield of their vehicle.  

Large Crowd Gathering: Police shut down portions of Main St. in an effort to disperse a large crowd.

Arrest: Police arrested Scott A. Fisher, 21 years old, of Java Center NY on charges of Resisting Arrest and Second Degree Obstructing Governmental Administration (both Misdemeanors), stemming from a Disorderly Conduct charge. Fisher was remanded to the Monroe County Jail on lieu of bail.

September 22nd, 2014 through September 28th, 2014

September 22nd, 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Zuleika M. Ortiz, 22 years old, of Rochester on the charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Ortiz is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

Arrest: Police arrested Debra J. Gliszczynski, 53 years old, of Rochester on charges of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Gliszczynski is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

September 23rd, 2014:   

Arrest: Police arrested Michael R. Boyer, 25 years old, on the charge of Third Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operator, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Boyer is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

September 25th, 2014:   

Arrest: Police arrested John L. Southcott, Jr., 22 years old, on the charge of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Southcott is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.  

September 26th, 2014:   

Arrest: Police arrested Randall P. Van Houten, 21 years old, on charges of Felony Driving While Intoxicated and First Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operator (both Felonies), Second and Third Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operator (both Misdemeanors), as well as other traffic-related offenses. Van Houten is due to appear in Sweden Town Court. 

September 27th, 2014:

Property Damage: Police responded to a Student Lane address for the reported vehicle flipped, which police believe was caused by several college-aged males who were seen fleeing the area.

Property Damage: Police discovered a Clinton Street resident’s car rear window had been smashed, causing about $200 in damage.

Arrest: Police arrested Anthony J. Verstreate, 21 years old, of Fairport on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Second Degree Assault - against a Police Officer (both Felonies), Resisting Arrest, Second Degree Obstructing Governmental Administration and Seventh Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (all Misdemeanors). Verstreate was remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of bail.

September 28th, 2014:

Property Damage: A Lincoln Street resident reports their vehicle fender was damaged sometime overnight from a suspect “keying” the surface.

September 29th, 2014 through October 5th, 2014

September 29th, 2014:

Theft: A Main Street resident reports the theft of their bicycle, which was claimed to have been stolen while attached to the front porch of the residence.

September 30th, 2014:   

Dispute: Police responded to handle a dispute between a motorist and pedestrian on Allen Street.

October 1st, 2014:

Burglary: Police found a rear shattered glass door at a Main Street business. It was determined a suspect broke in and stole approximately $200.

Arrest: Police arrested Phillip D. Byford, 24 years old, of Holley on charges of Resisting Arrest, a Misdemeanor, as well as disorderly conduct and harassment charges. Byford was remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of bail.

October 2nd, 2014:

Dangerous Condition: Police responded to the area of the Smith Street bridge, for the report of teens jumping off the bridge and swimming in the canal.

October 3rd, 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Austin M. Tschudy, 22 years old, of Hamlin on the charge of Third Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operator, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Tschudy is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

October 4th, 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Mikal A. Bowers, 19 years old, on the charge of Seventh Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Misdemeanor. Bowers was remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of bail.

October 5th, 2014:

Property Damage: A King Street resident reports parts of their outdoor food grill were damaged.

Arrest: Police arrested Aaron J. Zelter, 21 years old, of Brockport on a charge of Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. Zelter is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.
