August 4th, 2014 through August 10th, 2014

August 4th, 2014:  

Larceny: A Brockport resident reports theft of their prescribed medication and back pack, which allegedly was stolen after leaving the items unattended outside of the store.

August 5th, 2014: 

Suspicious Condition: Police were called overnight for a suspicious condition at a Park Avenue residence.

August 6th, 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Bryan M. Ihnatiuk, 35 years old, of Rochester, on charges of Second and Third Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, both Misdemeanors, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Ihnatiuk was arraigned at Sweden Town Court, and subsequently released on $250 bail.

August 7th, 2014:

Dispute: Police were called to a Union Street during the early morning hours for a disturbance.  

August 8th, 2014:

Larceny: A Brockport business reported the theft of a large, six foot tall sign, which was allegedly taken sometime overnight.   

August 9th, 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Kenneth J. Luce, 39 years old, of Brockport, on the charge of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Luce is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

August 10th, 2014:

Suspicious Condition: Police were called behind a North Main Street business to check a suspicious condition, which resulted in being unfounded.

The Brockport Police responded to 323 calls for service from August 4th, 2014 through August 10th, 2014 with 12,505 calls to date.

 

August 17, 2014 through August 24, 2014

August 18th, 2014:

Theft: A Westwood Drive resident called to report an unknown suspect entered their vehicle and stole change in the cup hold.

Theft: A Frazier Street resident called to report that an unknown suspect entered their vehicle and stole money from the cup holder.

Theft:  A Glendale Road resident called to report that an unknown suspect entered their vehicle and stole a GPS and Power cord to the device.

Theft: An unknown suspect entered a North Main Street business and took 4 packs of Red Bull and left the business without paying for the items.

August 19th, 2014:

Robbery: A victim reported that an unknown suspect grabbed his prescription bag and money and fled the scene.  A witness, who was familiar with the suspect, identified the suspect to police.  Police are still investigating. The victim was unharmed.  (**Ryan M. Black, 18 years old, was arrested on Grand Larceny charges for this crime on 8/21/14)

August 20th, 2014:

Annoyance:  A Park Avenue resident called in an annoyance complaint with “loud kids” in the area.  No children were found after officers canvassed. 

August 21st, 2014:

Criminal Mischief:  It was reported that a tenants window at his Villager Apartment was shattered by a possible known suspect that was seen outside of the apartment.  Police are still investigating.

August 22nd, 2014:

Harassment:  The victim flagged down officers and reported an altercation between her and her boyfriend, four hours prior, this resulted in her being bruised.  The victim refused medical attention and arrest.  Officers could not locate the boyfriend, documentation only.

August 23rd 2014:

Arrest:  Police arrested Ryan J. Gogarty, 20 years old, for Obstructing Gov’t Administration, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment 2nd, and Unlawful possession of Marihuana all which stemmed from a guest that was refusing to leave a party on the corner of  on Holley Street/Perry Street. 

Disturbance:  The owner of a restaurant on Clark Street called police to report an irate customer.  The customer claimed to have found a piece of glass in his food, and demanded a refund.  When the owner refused to give the customer his refund, the customer continued to make a scene before being told to leave the location by police.  No further incident. 

August 24th 2014:  From midnight to 0600-

Party/Annoyance:  Neighbors reported a loud party at 30 Chappell Street.  The caller requested to cancel soon after calling police.

Intoxicated Student: Police responded to the area of 156 West Avenue for the intoxicated male that was crying and upset because he was lost and could not find his way back to Holley Street.  He claimed a taxi dropped him off at this location.  Officer transported the male back to his roommates.

Criminal Mischief: An Erie Street resident reported that an unknown person/persons “busted” the house window.  No suspects at this time.

Customer Trouble:  Police responded to four separate customer troubles at Rocco’s Sports Bar.  One was against the bouncers, one was an intoxicated female refusing to leave and another was an intoxicated female down and was transported to Strong West, and one was a possible fight to start. 

Dangerous Condition:  A concerned citizen reported several students on the roof of 167 Main Street.  Those students were told to get down.

Suspicious condition:  A neighbor reported hearing glass shatter and things breaking at a State Street resident.  Officer investigated and found an intoxicated male had punched several items including a grill at his house.  He had several lacerations and was transported to the hospital.

Trespass: A Holley Street resident called to report kids walking on their property.  The resident was upset and stated that anyone caught on the property was to be arrested for trespass. 

**Officers took 19 more calls between the hours of midnight and 0600 on August 24, including two traffic stops, nine parking tickets and eight special attentions and directed patrols.

August 25th, 2014 through August 31st, 2014

August 25th, 2014:

Property Damage: A South Street resident reports damage to their garden fence, which allegedly occurred overnight.

Arrest: Police arrested Cortland B. Haines, 19 years old, of Brockport, on charges of Third Degree Assault, a Misdemeanor. Haines is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

Arrest: Police arrested Caiden S. Amor, 18 years old, of Brockport, on charges of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a Misdemeanor. Amor is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

August 26th 2014: 

Property Damage:  Police responded to a dispute where a known suspect damaged household items. At the time of the report, the complainant did not wish to file charges.

August 27th 2014: 

Property Damage: A State Street resident reports on August 7th between 9am-5pm, someone screwed a screw into the sidewall of their motor vehicle.

Property Damage: A local business reports someone damaged restroom and drinking fountain equipment.

August 28th 2014:

Theft: A Main Street business reports the theft of audio-visual equipment, which allegedly occurred during the day.

Theft/Forgery: A South Avenue resident reports the theft of their purse, which included cash and credit cards. Two transactions were reported on the cards at area merchants. The theft allegedly occurred on Market Street.

August 29th 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Christopher E. Chatterton, 26 years old, of Rochester, on charges of Second and Third Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operator, both Misdemeanors. Chatterton is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

August 31st, 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Bobby L. Bell, 25 years old, of Rochester, on charges of Second Degree Obstructing Governmental Administration, Resisting Arrest, (both Misdemeanors), Disorderly Conduct and Harassment 2nd (against a Police Officer). Bell was arraigned and remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of bail.

Arrest: Police arrested David R. Soule, 48 years old, of Brockport, on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor. Soule is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

Arrest: Police arrested Thelphile M. Mpoyi, 19 years old, of Rochester, on charges of Second Degree Obstructing Governmental Administration, Resisting Arrest, (both Misdemeanors), after being stopped by police for two Brockport Village Code offenses. Mpoyi is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

September 1st, 2014:

Property Damage: A South Street resident reports damage to their garden fence, which allegedly occurred overnight.

September 2nd, 2014:

Arrest:  Police arrested Oziel Gonzalez-Castilio, 26 years old, of Hamlin on the Misdemeanor charge of Second Degree Criminal Contempt. Gonzalez-Castilio is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

September 3rd, 2014: 

Arrest: Police arrested Kenneth G. Smith III, 29 years old, of LeRoy, on charges of Felony Driving While Intoxicated, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Smith is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

September 4th, 2014: 

Property Damage: An Erie Street resident reports someone damaged their wooden fence during the evening / overnight hours.

September 5th, 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Michael E. Quataert, 25 years old, of Spencerport on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Quataert is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

Property Damage: Police were called to a College Street address to take a Felony Criminal Mischief report, where a known suspect allegedly broke house windows and an Apple lap top computer.

September 6th, 2014:

Arrest: Police arrested Skyler N. Fisher, 20 years old, of Cortland on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Fisher is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

Arrest: Police arrested Jenny M. Grattan, 34 years old, of Brockport on charges of Felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, as well as other traffic-related offenses. Grattan is due to appear in Sweden Town Court.

Arrest: Police arrested Monica L. Williams, 23 years old, of Hamlin on charges of Second Degree Burglary (a Felony), Fourth Degree Criminal Mischief (a Misdemeanor), and Second Degree Harassment, a violation. Williams was transported to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of bail.
