December 22nd, 2014 through December 28th, 2014

December 22nd, 2014:

Arrested:  Police arrested Samantha H. Berecz, 22 years old of Rochester, New York on the Misdemeanor traffic charges of Driving While Intoxicated as well as other traffic related offenses. Berecz is due to appear in Brockport Village Court.

December 23rd, 2014: 

Suspicious Person:  A Willowbrooke Drive resident reported an unknown person knocking at her front door in the early morning hours.

December 24th, 2014:

Suspicious Odor:  A West Avenue resident reported the smell of smoke coming from their apartment complex. Police determined there was no active fire.

December 25th, 2014:

Suspicious Vehicle:  A Brockport citizen reported a vehicle parked for several minutes in front of a closed Main Street business.

December 26th, 2014:

Suspicious Condition:  Police discovered an open window on a King Street residence. After checking the rest of the residence, police determined the open window was most likely an oversight.

December 27th, 2014:

Suspicious Person:  Police were called to the area of West Avenue and Graves Street for the report of a person attempting to hitchhike. The person was located and transported home.

December 28th, 2014:

Suspicious Persons:  While on patrol, police observed several individuals looking into houses on King Street in the late evening hours.

December 29th, 2014 through January 4th, 2015

December 29th, 2014:

Suspicious Condition:  Police discovered an open window on a Utica Street residence. After checking the rest of the residence, police determined the open window was most likely an oversight.

Property Damage:  A Utica Street resident reported that an unknown person damaged the door assembly to his detached garage sometime in the late morning.

December 30th, 2014: 

Burglary Alarm:  Police responded to a Main Street business for a burglary alarm. Police determined that the alarm was accidental.

December 31st, 2014:

Assist:  Police assisted Sheriff’s Deputies with a hit and run motor vehicle accident.

January 1st, 2015:

Property Damage:  A Main Street resident reported that a window to their home was smashed by what appeared to be a beer bottle sometime overnight.

January 2nd, 2015:

Structure Fire:  Police were called to a Fair Street business after the report of fire coming from the roof of the building.

Arrest:  Police arrested Peter Rivera, 55 years old of Hamlin, New York on the Misdemeanor traffic charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operator as well as other traffic related offenses. Rivera is due to appear in Brockport Village Court.

January 3rd, 2015:

Arrest:  Police arrested Stephen E. Johncox, 67 years old of Brockport, New York on the Misdemeanor traffic charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operator as well as other traffic related offenses. Johncox is due to appear in Brockport Village Court.

January 4th, 2015:

Property Damage:  An Evelyn Drive resident reported that an unknown person damaged the rear window of their vehicle sometime overnight.

January 5th, 2015 through January 11th, 2015

December 5th, 2015:

Suspicious Vehicle:  A Monroe Avenue resident reported a suspicious vehicle parked outside of a residence. Police found that the car was parked at the residence due to work being done on the house.

December 6th, 2015: 

Arrest:  Brockport Police assisted the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force with effecting the search warrant of a North Main Street resident resulting in the arrest of Jesus M. Vargus Jr., 35 years old of Brockport on the Felony charge of Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd and two Felony charges Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd. Vargus was transported to Orleans County.

December 7th, 2015:

Stolen Vehicle:  A Spring Street resident reported that their vehicle was stolen from their driveway sometime overnight.

January 8th, 2015:

Motor Vehicle Accident:  Police responded to Owens Road and South Avenue for the report of a motor vehicle accident blocking traffic.

January 9th, 2015:

Suspicious Persons:  A Barry Street resident reported that two unknown persons came to their door several times to ask if they could shovel their driveway.

January 10th, 2015:

Check Welfare:  Police responded to a Main Street business to assist Orleans County with locating a suicidal person.

January 11th, 2015:

Suspicious Person:  Police observed a person loitering outside of a residence during the early morning hours while on patrol. Police discovered that the person lived at that residence.

January 12th, 2015 through January 18th, 2015

January 12th, 2015:

Arrest:  Police arrested Michael D. Naab, 22 years old of Ontario, New York on a Warrant for the Violation of Harassment 2nd. Naab is due to appear in Brockport Village Court.

January 13th, 2015: 

Arrest:  Police arrested Rowan C. Carr, 29 years old of Rochester, New York on the Misdemeanor traffic charges of 3rd degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operator along with other traffic related offenses. Carr is due to appear in Brockport Village Court.

Larceny:  A Brockport resident reported that they observed two unknown persons loading a snow blower into the back of a vehicle at the Cornerstone Christian Academy.

January 14th, 2015:

Burglary Alarm:  Police responded to a Market Street business for an interior burglary alarm. Police determined the alarm was accidental.

January 15th, 2015:

Arrest:  Police arrested Nawaf A. Alrashedi, 25 years old of Brockport, New York on the Misdemeanor traffic charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration along with other traffic related offenses. Alrashedi is due to appear in Brockport Village Court.

January 16th, 2015:

Hold-Up Alarm:  Police responded to a North Main Street business for a hold-up alarm. Police ruled the alarm to be accidental.

January 17th, 2015:

Arrest:  Police arrested Stephen R. Locke, 57 years old of Brockport, New York on the Misdemeanor traffic charge of Driving While Intoxicated along with other traffic related offenses. Locke is due to appear in Brockport Village Court.

January 18th, 2015:

Arrest:  Police arrested Jeremy M. Patton, 28 years old of Holley, New York on the Misdemeanor traffic charges of Driving While Intoxicated along with other traffic related offenses. Patton is due to appear in Brockport Village Court.

Property Damage:  A Holley resident reported that their vehicle was keyed while parked outside of a North Main Street business sometime in the late evening.
